It’s a new life! A very dear and precious one! Marilise and Pierre welcomed me into their home and allowed me the privilege of photographing their new little bundle, Max. At 3 weeks new he was so very calm and allowed us to do our thing with hardly a wimper! Daddy was oh so very brave – he just cannot handle the poopy nappies, and as you can see he went all out! Little Max then decided he would make his mark on the situation! oh yes he did! 😉 Daddy didnt see the humour at all! Unfortunately!
Little Liam is just Gorgeous! Mum, Chantelle, was concerned that we wouldn’t get any smiles out of him but luckily he warmed up to us, with Mum doing some weird Zulu-dancing moves behind me! he he Those two little toofies are just too cute! 😉
Oh these two were so sweet! Little Christiaan was happy, then sad… then alseep! Three seasons in one day! 😉 Marilee is a second time Mum and I can definitly see the difference – she is so relaxed. He cried – he could have screamed blue murder – and she was calm and collected. Not fussed or phased! And of course, it was not long and the little man was settled again. Nature is amazing. Absolutley loved photographing Marilee and Mr Chris!
I absolutely ADORE these two, they just love my lens! I’ve photographed them before and absolutely loved the results, but these are just to die for! I was so DIEing to post some of these pics before delivering them to Carolina but she mentioned to me that this was a surprise for all her family back home in Brazil – It was killing me!! Little Stella is now 6 months old and I cannot believe how she is changing and becomming more and more beautiful! Well done Mum! and Dad… 😉 Sooooo much of cuteness! mwah! Oh my I could eat this up!
Christo and Ezelle are expecting little Hugo! Well, actually he was born this past thursday – he was due a little later but decided he would make his appearance sooner! No more being squished up in Mummy’s tummy! :p I visited Ezelle and Christo on the farm where they live, Blaauwklippen, in Stellenbosch. Its beautiful, as you can see!
Wow, I just could not resist posting ALL of these photos! What a beautiful family – Rod, Taryn, Thomas and little Piers! They live on a farm near Botrivier – Craigantlet farm. It was clear that the farm means alot to them as they wanted their photo’s to depict all the aspects of their living. So, we photographed everywhere! It was lovely. The dogs were such character’s too! Was really lovely! Poor little Thomas wasnt feeling well – the last pic shows his real feelings! 😉 But thanks to Mom and Dad, they cheered him up abit to get some gorgeous smiles! Thank you Taryn and Rod for allowing me in your home and to photograph your beautiful family!
A few weeks ago I did a Maternity shoot for Karen and Casper who were expecting little Mieke! Well… here you are! A GORGEOUS, ever so precious, little bundle! What a special time in ones life! I’m not sure we actually appreciate it enough. Sometimes we get so caught up in the mundane everyday duties; its only when we look back a few months down the line, unfortunately, do we realise how VERY special it is. Such a gift to become a Mommy or Daddy! Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them. Thank you, Karen and Casper, for bringing me into your world for that short time! 🙂
Lydia and Matthew tied the knot at Forest 44 in Stellenbosch – a simple but elegant wedding venue! La Pineta, the restaurant made THE BEST food, hands down! I gobbled like a mad women! I made sure I sat at my seat to ensure that Heathyr and I got some pudding by the end of the evening ;p hehe Its hard work you know and us poor souls can, mostly, only go as far as googling at the wedding cake! A super stunning (and EASY) bride to photograph. What a breeze! She looked magnificent!
Karen and Casper! Expecting a new little bundle! A precious Girl named Mieke! I was very stoked when Karen suggested taking the pics on a wine farm that her husband, Casper, works on. Delaire Wine Estate. Casper had organised us a whole separate lodge, all to our selves! Whoa! Its absolutely gorgeous – from the rooms to the gardens to the breathtaking views! Wow, was I impressed! A real stunner! I had a difficult job picking spots to photographs, its all simply amazing! What a wonderful couple are Karen and Casper! We had quite a few laughs! I wish them all the luck in the world for their impending birth! Little Mieke is going to surprise you – the love you will have for her will be the most indescribable love that is humanly possible! You’ll see. 😉
Sweet Samantha and Mummy Minette! Little Samantha really wasnt too sure about me – took her quite a while to warm up to me! She has the most expressive eyes – as they say the eyes are the window to the soul! Love photographing these little people… they are so true to life. They tell no lies.
This little Man has got some super-dooper energy! Mum really does have her hands full! He is gorgeous – the easiest little fella to photograph. He took one look at me and I got all the smiles! Was wonderful! Thank you mummy, Anine, for letting little Christopher just ‘be’. Cute Christopher, full of beans! Getting half of Christopher in my frame was a common occurrence… ants in those pants for sure! Little mischief!! Precious Ooooooh… Mummy letting me play in the water… 😀 Oh I see my friend… oh oh oh… Boystrous Christopher just about knocked little Samantha off her feet! Too cute!
Little Jodi is a real character. A funny and feisty little thing! What a personality she has got! She is bold with a very sensitive side – gorgeous soul! I absolutely loved shooting her. I had so many laughs. Jodi was terrified of the big Dogs on the farm and clung to mummy for dear life (so precious!) but heck when she found her feet again, it was play play play! Adore this… flying in the water! So sweet! Jodi knows all the moves to all the nursery rhymes… and mummy too! hehe This to me, is just tooo precious. mwah Jodi smell the flower… 😉 Mummy… eat!!
Cecilia and her precious Elri! What a beautiful spring day it was… Little Elri made it even brighter with her gorgeous little outfit. To cute! Believe it or not, Cecilia has a son too, who is VERY camera shy. At least I got some pics of him – albeit the back of him! hehe. Lovely family photos! I can sit Mummy, I promise I can!! Doesnt this just make you want to giggle! 😉 Oh Mummy, enough now! he he
Simone has the most gorgeous little boy out there! Without a doubt, he has been married off already!! It really wasn’t the easiest of job getting smiles out of him, but we did get one or two! What is it with little boys with long lashes?! Seriously! Those eye’s are just to die for; royal blue (and i promise, no photoshopping here!!!), with dark LONG eyelashes! Pffft… makes me sick – he wont even appreciate them as a man! Adore this face!
This little girl, Marina, is just ADORE-ABLE! In every way. She is so sweet; calm and gentle. What a treat photographing her. She reminded me of myself as a young girl; very shy and subdued. Trying to get some smiles out of her took some work on my part, but man, even the photographs of her with no smiles are gorgeous! 😉 I would be so proud to be her mum! Lucky mummy, Suzie!
Carolina and Stella, I met, at the Mom’s group I attend in Grabouw. She too, joined the group when little Stella was a teeny tiny little being, in fact, if my memory serves me correctly we met Stella at five days new!! I remember clearly, Carolina and her Mum, (who had come from Brazil for the Birth of her Grandaughter *sniff*), came religiously every week! Its a very reassuring place to go to in those first lonely scary weeks of motherhood! Stella, now at four months of age, is really starting to interact with her world… its so adorable! And I think Mum is really starting to enjoy her bundle now! How they grow and change soo fast! Making fun out of tummy time!! Miss serious-ness! 😉 Mommy giving Stella loads of kisses… Adorable
Daleen and Andrei’s wedding took place at the gorgeous Kronenburg Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. Lord, I got lost! Can you believe it… okay, okay, you can – I do get lost in shopping malls *ashamed*! Even worse was the fact that this was the second time I have been to this venue *lowers head*… BUT the first time, I wasnt driving AND I was pregnant!! The lovely Heathyr allowed me to take some shots again! Yeehaa! What a beautiful day, Daleen and Andrei really had the angels on their side – it pored and pored leading up to the day. It truely was a SPRING day (as I know it in Joburg!)… Gorgeous! Really like these shoes… I would definitely kill over wearing them though!! Stunning Bride! A LITTLE NUNU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D Having a laugh! Heathyr in action! Cutie’s!! These vineyards captured me… very antique wintery looking – so different. Love it! OMG… this is seriously THE worst part about being a Photographer at a wedding… I have to stare at THIS!! and a table full of THIS… Kill me now!! DIE!!!!! Really lovely couple!
Welcome Little Dylan to our world! This little man is quite the champ – two months old and he weighs more than my five month old! Belinda, you got some serious liquid Gold! A hearty WELL DONE!! Cute lil fella! Mummy love… so pure! Im thankful, Belinda, yet another new Mum, was very open to me photographing her breastfeeding. One of the most beautiful things in the world! Such a precious time! Love this! Ah man!
So you are now pregnant. THE rollercoaster has begun! Yeehaa! Ever thought of professionally Photographing your precious new Baby’s Birth Day? I hadn’t. Not until I had my daughter six months ago. It never occurred to me in the slightest. In fact, I was slightly repelled by the idea! I really didn’t fancy the idea of someone taking picture of my ‘you know what’!! With me on that? I came across some professionally done Birth photographs whilst scouting around on the net one day. They were anything but the horrid, gory, graphic pictures I had imagined. They scared the life out of me, I will admit. But they were beautiful. So beautiful. They captured the amazing essence of what was about to happen. They captured a new life. A new breathe. They were simply amazing. No gory bits… just pure emotion. I gave Birth to my Daughter, Eva, on the 10th of April 2012. Although I never had a professional Birth Photographer, I did have a very willing Doula on hand. Robyn Hertog. Although her role as my Doula required other duties, I still handed her my camera – with very strict instructions. No ‘down there’ s! At all! I bet she was […]
