Handsome Cameron, born to the wonderful Frances and Lloyd! His arrival sounded wonderful! A two and a half hour FIRST labour! Dad told me that Mom had period-pain-like cramps that evening and thought that maybe they should start timing the ‘pains’… to their surprise, they were 5 minutes apart! So at midnight they headed to the hospital and Mr Cameron arrived early hours of the morning, weighing a wonderful 3.7kg! WOW! Both Mom and Dad, are overjoyed. I cannot believe how easily both Lloyd and Frances have taken to parenthood. They are both incredibly calm. Cameron, at 11 days old, is so very alert and strong! Just look how he holds his head up!! Thank you, Lloyd and Frances, for inviting me into your home to photograph your wonderful new born baby, Cameron! He is delightful! xxx
Tasneem and Wahid’s little Girl finally arrived! At only four days old, Mom seemed rather relieved that all was over. Sadly, it wasn’t the birth experience she had wanted but Samara is here, perfect and healthy! Tasneem invited me to photograph Samara’s Christening (Doepmal). A very different and new experience for me. I am amazed at the intensity and sheer love the Muslims have for their God and Religion. It is truely moving. Thank you Tasneem and your family for allowing me into your home and lives! Samara will be the light of your lives and will delight you daily, for sure!! xxx
Gorgeous little Hugo just couldnt wait to greet us! He arrived a little early but still happy and healthy! Whilst photographing him he remained calm and collected until we tried to put him in his little basket… Oh no, he didnt want to know! The lying-on-back pose is still super cute! 😉 Absolutely love the way Mom and Dad prepared for his arrival – from the lovely writings on the wall to the old-fashioned family cot! So lovely and special.
It’s a new life! A very dear and precious one! Marilise and Pierre welcomed me into their home and allowed me the privilege of photographing their new little bundle, Max. At 3 weeks new he was so very calm and allowed us to do our thing with hardly a wimper! Daddy was oh so very brave – he just cannot handle the poopy nappies, and as you can see he went all out! Little Max then decided he would make his mark on the situation! oh yes he did! 😉 Daddy didnt see the humour at all! Unfortunately!
A few weeks ago I did a Maternity shoot for Karen and Casper who were expecting little Mieke! Well… here you are! A GORGEOUS, ever so precious, little bundle! What a special time in ones life! I’m not sure we actually appreciate it enough. Sometimes we get so caught up in the mundane everyday duties; its only when we look back a few months down the line, unfortunately, do we realise how VERY special it is. Such a gift to become a Mommy or Daddy! Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them. Thank you, Karen and Casper, for bringing me into your world for that short time! 🙂
